Mariborsko Pohorje, together with Areh, is considered the largest ski region in Slovenia and is located in the northeastern part of the country. The area covers a total of 250 hectares and features numerous slopes with a combined length of over 35 km. You can explore the ski resort in detail via 13 ski lifts. The ski season runs from mid-December to the end of March.
Be impressed by the variety of runs and choose between easy, intermediate, and difficult slopes. The resort is also known for its family-friendliness, ensuring fun for all family members. The most popular slope is the Čopova run, which can take you all the way to the valley. You can enjoy the slopes not only during the day but also at night. The resort is partially illuminated after dark and offers night skiing. This nighttime skiing runs from the top station of the gondola down to the Čopova run and the Snow Stadium. The night ski slope at Mariborsko Pohorje is one of the longest in all of Europe.

The Krvavec ski resort is located just 25 km from the capital Ljubljana and 35 km from the Municipality of Bled, making it an ideal choice for those who want to combine skiing with exploring Slovenia. It is also near Brnik, making it a good destination for international travelers arriving by plane. The ski season starts in late November and continues until mid-April.
Everyone will find something to enjoy at Krvavec! Explore 30 km of excellent slopes at altitudes between 1,450 and 1,971 m, catering to both leisure and performance athletes. Thanks to this elevation, Krvavec offers optimal conditions for skiing and snowboarding. Enjoy the stunning views and breathe in the invigorating mountain air.
If you are a beginner, take advantage of the available ski school and learn from experienced instructors. Ski rental and ski service are available on-site. For children, there is a conveyor belt, a carousel, a practice area with play equipment, and a timed course.
In addition to skiing and snowboarding, you can enjoy other highlights. Night tobogganing is especially popular and often turns into races among friends. Another unique experience is staying at the snow hotel, the so-called Igloo Village Krvavec, offering a once-in-a-lifetime chance to sleep in an igloo and be close to nature in winter.
Located on the edge of the Gorenjska region, about 50 km from Ljubljana, the ski season in Cerkno runs from mid-December to early March. Cerkno is considered the most modern ski resort in Slovenia and has been named the best Slovenian ski center in multiple seasons including 2010/11 through 2017/18.
Cerkno offers a variety of slopes suitable for beginners to advanced skiers. It is especially ideal for children and offers an animation program. A kindergarten is also available, offering a safe and creative space for your children — perfect if they are too young to ski or if you want some time for yourselves.

Like the others, Rogla offers skiing fun and adventure. It is located in the Pohorje mountain range, spanning the Pordravska and Savinjska regions. The nearest town, Zreče, is just 16 km away and is a charming excursion destination. The ski season runs from early December to mid-March.
Rogla’s winter fun includes a wide variety of slopes for both beginners and advanced skiers. Enjoy up to 100 ski days per season across 100 hectares of skiable terrain.
A special highlight is the Fun Park Rogla, especially exciting for adrenaline seekers, snowboarders, and freestyle skiers. Night skiing takes place from Thursday to Sunday on illuminated slopes such as Košuta and Jasa.
You can also improve or learn skiing/snowboarding at the award-winning Rogla Ski School. A snow kindergarten is available for childcare (by arrangement).
Explore 10 km of cross-country skiing trails in Rogla. You can even organize a ski race if traveling with a group.
The Stari Vrh ski resort is 35 km from Ljubljana and covers 55 hectares. It offers a wide range of slopes suitable for all levels. Located between 580 m and 1217 m above sea level, the ski season runs from early December to mid-March. It is a favorite among both hobby and professional skiers and is one of Slovenia's top destinations. It’s also ideal if you want to combine skiing with a visit to the capital.
The resort features a variety of slopes for all skill levels. A snow park delights freestyle enthusiasts. Night skiing is available with 2.5 km of illuminated slopes.
Try the toboggan run or ride the bobsled track. Families with small children can take advantage of several children’s playgrounds.
You can also enjoy winter hiking trails to explore nearby peaks and villages or visit tourist-friendly farmhouses to learn more about Slovenian culture.
Vogel Ski Resort is located high above the crystal-clear Bohinj Lake in Triglav National Park, at 1,535 m above sea level, offering breathtaking views of the Triglav Mountains and Kamnik Alps. The ski season runs from December to early March and offers 22 km of ski slopes.
The slopes are mostly suitable for beginners. A special highlight is the Žagarjev graben valley run, 7.5 km long with a 1,200 m elevation drop. It leads from the highest point down to Bohinj Lake — the only place to view the lake from the slopes, making it a popular run.
